Dogs are very liable to costiveness, and the faces which they void is sometimes extremely hard, and not unfrequently of a limy consistence.
Treatment – Occasional doses of castor oil, varying from ½ ounce to 2 ounces, is the most effectual remedy for this, and its operation will be facilitated by giving the animal frequent draughts of warm oatmeal gruel or weak broth.
